Talented and rising hip hop artist “Kid Kamakazi” hails from the island of Kobe, Japan. Kid Kamakazi came up with the stage name based upon his mixed heritage (the first son of an English/Italian father and Japanese mother) and he was highly influenced immensely by both his parents at an early age. He developed an early familiarity with the music industry as he travelled around the U.S. with his father, Paul Sr., as he worked. Paul was the transportation captain for the renowned concert promoter Alan Hayman Entertainment and he took Kid Kamakazi along with him to every concert event. From an early age, Kid Kamakazi’s musical influences by talented artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Debbie Deb, Cameo, Gap Band, Dazz Band, Tupac, Ice Cube, Janet Jackson, and Patti Labelle, helped to shape the style of music, lyrics performed, and fire that burns inside of him to rise to the top.
Much of the focus to Kid Kamakazi’s work is a result of years of discipline and dedication. Kid Kamakazi’s training in martial arts as a child helped to provide the structure and drive for his career, while playing the bass guitar in high school helped to develop his musical acuity, and practicing the sport of basketball throughout his life helped to develop the coordination and teamwork necessary within any industry. Kid Kamakazi released his debut album “Clutch Shooter” on March 30, 2010, with the hot new singles “Ride That Thang,” “Do What It Do”, “Excuse Me” and other sure to be smash hit singles. “Ride That Thang” was recently featured on “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” and “The Bad Girls Club”. This highly anticipated single follows on the heels of the earlier single “Fly Like I” featuring Mistah Fab. Kid Kamakazi performed for Tila Tequila for her 30th birthday bash this summer and he just completed a theme song for the San Francisco Arts Academy entitled “We Go Hard”. The music video is being produced by Jamie Williams (former 49er) the current athletic director for the San Francisco Arts Academy and screen writer for Oliver stone’s “Any Given Sunday” starring Al Pacino and Jamie Fox.
