Smash Hits Records was formed in January of 2008. All of their recordings were produced in professional studios located in Los Angeles, CA. They are an independent record label and production company, founded by CEO Paolo Mazza. Paolo has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years and has played an active roll in just about every aspect of it.
Paolo Mazza is a Brooklyn Born Entrepreneur who first founded Smash Hits Entertainment in 1989. The Mazza family moved out of New York early in Paolo’s life, as a result he found himself moving around frequently. His family eventually settled in Richmond, California. It was in this ethnically diverse city that Paolo was exposed to the popular music cultures of the late 60’s and early 70’s. He grew up loving the music around him and this love was the motivating factor that led him to pursue a career in the music industry. Paolo’s enthusiasm for music led him to Alan Haymon Entertainment where he earned the role of Transportation Captain for the west coast tours. Paolo wound up working under Operations Manager Skip Davis for 12 years from 1989-2002. Working closely with artists like Angelina, Brandy, Baby Face, Brenton Woods, Black Street, Corupt, Mac 10, Coolio, Dazz Band, Destinys Child, Cypress Hill, Confunction, Digital Underground, Gap Band, Ice Cube, Janet Jackson, Keith Sweat, LL Cool J., Mary J. Blige, Monica, Patti Labelle, Miles Davis, Run DMC, SWV, TLC, Queen Latifah, Will Smith, Shia, Silk, Jodeci, Tupac., Celia Cruz, Luis Enrique, El Gran Combo, WilfredoVargas, Flaco Jimenez, Little Joe and Lafamilia, and many many more.
